June 17,2009 hair dye allergy reaction

Since my last blog I have been itchy mostly when I go to bed. I didn't keep up the mannatech Firm and Emprizone for a day or two and some of the scabbing behind my ear came back, so I am trying to keep up with the applications. For some reason I have been really itchy around my nether regions, arms and trunk. I wake up and have scratched myself raw. My face is puffy and my eyes are even itchy. As you can see my lids and forhead are a bit swollen and just above my hairline has been irritated. I have been taking some things to detox my system. Lemon water with cyan and maple syrup fast, but being on the meds cannot go on an empty stomach, so I will start tomorrow as today is my last day of official meds.

I have another blood test on the 20th to see what's up with the rest of my system. The worst is the itching. And no libido to speak of. No fun. and am looking rather lousy. Three days ago I started getting major cramps in my body. I would wake up with my legs and chest, sometimes my arms or back would cramp and I would wake up screaming in pain. I have taken a half dose of a muscle relaxant before bed if I feel the possibility of cramps. They are so painful. I have not been sleeping well at all. Lots of tossing and turning and trying not to itch. During the day and at work I am a bit more cautious as to how I work so I don't end up cramping when doing what I do.... at tow truck driver...by day.

June 10,2009 hair dye allergy reaction

Outside of an itchy scalp and lots of flakes coming off me, the outside exposed skin is almost healed. I can be in the sun and not feel the burning. I have applied the Firm and Emprizone alternately and it really is amazing. I have looked at my own posts and if I didn't see the results in such a short time, I wouldn't have beleived it myself.

The major problem I face is the itching of my body, especially at night. It is like I have hives or something. My back, arms, thighs, and ass cheeks especially.... go figure. But all in all tomorrow I am scheduled to go back to work and for the most part I am much better. I will have to get some things together to do something to detoxify my body from this poisoning. I have read postings about people suffering for years with itching from the ppd poisoning. I won't let that be me, so if you have any suggestions?

June 9,2009 hair dye allergy reaction

I am itching like crazy, it seems better during the day, but when I lay down it is not comfortable then I can't sleep as it is worse when I am in the prone position. I took an anti-histamine and hope that helps... off to bed at 6am... not a time to be going to bed. It will all some day be over and everything will be okay...lol

June 8,2009 hair dye allergy reaction

Last night I couldn't sleep. All day long I itched all over my body. The allergic reaction was like when I get an MSG attack, but ten times worse. When I tried to go to bed I had such an attack with like a heart burn feeling, I could barely breath. I puttered around til 8am when I went to the lab and had a scheduled blood work done. Then about 11pm I didn't itch and had a little nap. The Emprizone and firm are working great. I even was out in the sun and didn't feel that big ass burning sensation. I am now on Novo-Lexin for ten days and Apo-Prednisone for five more days. I am going to get an anti-histamine for this crazy itch.... and hope it will not be an ongoing reaction.

June 7,2009 hair dye allergy reaction

I have been using the Emprizone and Firm from Mannatech alternately and you can see the results even after ONE DAY.... HOLY!!! Hard to beleive there is something out there that can do this. My last dose of intrevenous anti-biotics was last night and now I have to go on for another ten days of Keflex. I am not all together feeling well. The trama of this ordeal is affecting everything I do. I try and do things like I normally would but have to take it easy and rest, and that for me is not always easy. I am going to try and rest and recover, as now I hope I am over the worst of it.

A few days after my initial reaction. I thought I had a sliver in one of my fingers. It hurt so much I asked Michelle to take it out for me. The closer I looked I found they were all over my fingers. It was very irritating and painful. An Asian traditional doctor visiting my home told me that when you are poisoned or electrocuted for instance, the body will naturally try and push the poison out of its extremities.

June 6,2009 hair dye allergy reaction

Last night I slept all through the night. In the pics I have the Firm from Mannatech on and it is really doing the job. The swelling on my head is down and even the itching is gone, that is a big thing. I feel almost normal and my skin feels tingly but not bad. I am not feeling nauseated any more and going outside in the sun has been bearable. I don't know what all is in Firm and Emprizone, but have been told it is all natural. If I didn't use it I would not have beleived it. From agony to relief. I am still having tests done as they were afraid for blood poisoning and toxic shock, and one day left of getting an iv in my arm. I don't know but I think it is www.mannatech.com for some info on the stuff they have available. Thanks again Lawrence.

From mostly the Firm product from Mannatech there has been a marketable difference in appearance as the oozing has almost stopped completely. I apply the Emprizone less as it stings like a mother, but seems to be a bit stronger acting. Before the mannatech stuff, I have tried pure 99% Aloe Vera, Olive oil and lime, Corticosteroid cream, Polysporine regular and burn cream, Flammazine and water with a damp rag. I know water and a damp rag to pat the head down is a must, but for cream? The Firm is gentle acting and is saving my ass. The Emprizone is harsh strong, but use it as it seems to really act on the incessant pain I have been suffering, however it takes a while for the stinging to subside. But it really really works. faster than anything I have tried in my desperation.

I went to bed last night and wrapped my head as I have been because of the itching and leaking of the sores. I slept for about two hours and woke up scratching. It is so itchy and there was blood everywhere. I went to the bathroom and I looked like I came out of a horror movie. I just had a shower in these pics, but even after scratching myelf badly, the Firm and Emprizone has begun something that is working.

I went again to the doctor and she sent me to the specialist the next day. I was put on intravenous anti-biotics and steroids for the next five days. I was prescribed corticortizone cream and analgesic as well. A friend came over and gave me a cream from a company called mannatech. I am at a point where I am willing to try anything. He gave me a cream called Firm and one called Emprizone. I have not slept but 2 to 3 hours a night and he asked me to apply the cream to see if it would help. I took the Firm first and it really stung, but after about five minutes it soothed my burning sensation. Later on when my head began to really hurt again I tried the Emprizone. It stung so bad I almost fainted, but after the sting something happened that none of the other products had done, the prickly feeling and pain on my scalp was reduced to almost feeling normal. It was like a miracle. I have been doing what the doctors want concerning the infection and what now, but I am using the Firm and Emprizone cream. It really did something that gave me a sigh of releif. Thankyou Lawrence Nadrofsky from Mannatech.

June 2,2009 hair dye allergy reaction

I had to inform my work that I couldn't return as I operate a tow vehicle and operate equipment in and around dangerous situations. I have been back to the emergency ward and they gave me a morphine and gravol shot to help with the pain and maybe sleep. Nausea was constant and my head had a very painful pins and needles feeling. My head was oozing liquid constantly so I had to have a gauze around my head constantly to catch the drippings. The liquid is like acid as if I didn't wipe it off with a damp cloth it would begin to burn my skin. I got flammazine and more polysporine cream but neither seemed to help.

May 31,2009 hair dye allergy reaction

I slept only for about 2 hours and my head was on fire. I had to see my son and went with a had on to stay out of the sun. I soaked the hat with water to keep from such extreme pain that I could at least function. I was using polysporine cream, but it was just running off with the ooze that was coming from my head. Using a damp cloth with water and the damp hat gave me the most releif. My friend drove me around as I had such bouts of burning that I couldn't control my driving.

May 30,2009 hair dye allergy reaction

I went to see my doctor and she gave me a five day anti-biotic and steroid. Novo-Lexin and Apo-Prednisone. I had some polysporin for burns and cuts and used that to try and soothe the pain of burning. I couldn't sleep and about three in the morning I went to emergency. They gave me a shot of Toredol and gravol as I was feeling very nauseated, and sent me home, telling me it was just taking its course.

May 28,2009 hair dye allergy reaction

On the evening about three hours after the dye was in and I had several showers to try and flush the dye out with soft soaps and shampoo, I began to get boil like bumps on my scalp and they began to pop and run down my head. I was beginning to experience extreme burning sensations and a head ache. I thought it would go away, so I tried to sleep and if it got worse would go to the doctor in the morning.

hair dye allergy and what to do

On thursday May 28 I had hair dye put in my hair. Just for men, bought at the Pharmasave in Hope BC, Canada. I didn't really care for it to be done, but I said, what the hey go ahead.... Michelle did a small test on my hair and skin for a few minute, which the specialist later told me is not a test patch. A test patch should be done in and around the temple and or on a sensitive part of the wrist and left on for at least a few hours. Michelle has done lots of dye jobs and it was in for only ten minutes. The dye was called real black. The worst, if you have a reaction to it, apparently. One half hour after the dye, rinse and sitting around laughing at my jet black hair with no grey, I started to feel tingles like when your leg falls asleep. It was really beginning to hurt. My skin was beginning to swell around my entire head.
